We repeated that no records relating to Great House Farm or you have been located, and that we cannot confirm whether historical records once existed or when any were removed, citing the 1980s demolition and retention limits.

“we do not hold any corresponding account information, customer records, deletion logs, or audit records”

I asked Welsh Water to identify the source for its demolition statement, confirm which legacy and paper systems were searched, state the retention periods relied on, and disclose any documented migration or data-transfer policy for historic property records.

We confirmed that after further review we hold no records relating to Great House Farm (Ty Mawr) or to you, noting the property was demolished in the 1980s and any such records would fall outside our retention periods.

“we have been unable to locate any records relating to the property following the searches undertaken”

I asked Welsh Water to clarify whether pre-2015 legacy records for Great House Farm existed, what rule determined the 2015 migration cut-off, whether any disposal or destruction log survives, and to confirm their search of separate engineering/property records.

“historical call notes, emails, webforms and other communications that may previously have been associated with a customer or property account, were not transferred”

I followed up again on my 20 June 2026 request about Great House Farm (Ty Mawr) water records, noting a 1 August reminder went unanswered, and asked for confirmation it was logged, whether it's being handled under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004, and when to expect a response.

“Whether my original request has been received and logged.”
