We confirmed your request, reference FOI-26-46, will now be handled formally under the Freedom of Information Act, and apologised that Customer Services never replied; we will respond by 17 November 2026.
“we will deal with your request under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) 2000, as requested”
I followed up as Customer Services never replied, and asked that two specific parts of my original request be treated as a formal FOIA/EIR request: for records of naming and label-placement changes around Ty Mawr/Great House Farm between 1950 and 1975, and for guidance on how such farm names were assigned or altered across editions.
We told you our view is that your mapping enquiry is routine business rather than a formal FOIA request, so we have forwarded it to our Customer Services team, who aim to reply within 10 working days.
I asked Ordnance Survey for historical mapping and naming records for Ty Mawr / Great House Farm, Llandough, covering sheets 38-1-608 and 38-1-334 and editions from the 1950s to 1970s, seeking explanation for why the farm's name shifted between parcels.
