I accept that archive 6364275 relates to Bonvilston, confirm an order for scans of items 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941, ask for the order form to be resent, and raise three new questions on Cadw records, 1974 survey notes and aerial sortie lists, requesting reply by 18 November 2026.

“Please treat this email as confirmation that we wish to order research-quality scans of archive numbers 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941”

We ask for a completed order form before quoting on three scans, note the fee waiver for under five research-quality scans, confirm no further information beyond the catalogue, and clarify that archive item 6364275 relates to Great House, Bonvilston, not Llandough.

“the item Archive Number 6364275 from the Emergency Recording Collection has been physically examined and does not relate to Great House Farm, Llandough”

I confirm the requests of 8, 15, 17 and 20 September are now treated as fully answered, and ask you to supply scans of Archives 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941, confirm any accession or provenance record for NPRN 20182, and confirm whether the emergency-recording case is now correctly linked.

“Confirm whether any accession data, transfer note or provenance record exists for the material held under NPRN 20182”

I order scans of Archives 6048945, 6048943 and 6048941 relating to Great House Farm, and ask you to confirm whether the order form already supplied remains valid or whether a fresh LES08 form is needed; I am not reopening points already closed under section 21.

The family acknowledges RCAHMW's further response of 6 October 2026 under RC26-0375, notes the confirmed searches, nil returns and offer of scans for Archive 6048945, and will review and catalogue the outcome before any follow-up.

“I will review the points against the earlier requests and catalogue the outcome”

We confirm our searches of registered files and the full NMRW archive, including uncatalogued material, were extensive and found nothing further on Great House Farm, apart from Archive 6048945; aerial photograph searches would incur a charge.

I clarify that my requests were never limited to registered campaign files but cover all recorded information the Commission holds on the site, and I ask you to confirm whether the search has extended across all relevant NMRW collections, listing the categories involved.

“My requests were not confined to registered campaign files.”

We confirm no letters or records about Great House Farm, Llandough exist in our registered files, and that our archive (NPRN 20182) holds the only relevant material, listed on Coflein; aerial photo searches would involve a charge. We also quote the historic description of the farmhouse from GGAT02038s.

“Great House was the chief freehold farm of the parish”

I welcome Welsh correspondence but prioritise speed, and I make clear this follow-up does not restart or narrow my requests of 8, 15 or 17 September, which remain due 6, 13 and 15 October. I ask you to confirm all three are logged as FOIA/EIR requests with reference numbers.

I'm asking the cataloguing team to check whether Emergency Recording case RCS2/1/1777, currently listed as Great House (Ty Mawr), Bonvilston, actually relates to the demolished Great House Farm, Llandough (NPRN 20182), and to relink it if so.

“Could you confirm from the location plan / map copies / photographs in the RCS2/1/1777 bundle whether the site is Bonvilston”

I congratulated RCAHMW on its aerial discoveries and set out the history of Great House Farm, arguing that a separate freehold for the farmhouse was obscured through litigation and missing deeds, noting the 1987 Court of Appeal case never ruled on title and that the Land Registry bundle remains inaccessible after an FOI refusal.

“it did not rule on whether the Williams family held a separate freehold to the farmhouse plot”

I explained my grandmother used the Williams name, not Buckler, after 1935 and asked how to correct or annotate this on RCAHMW's records, while also raising that the 1975/1983 conveyances wrongly merged the farmhouse with leased farmland despite ownership never being ruled on.

“Ownership was never ruled on. BP sought possession and never gained a ruling on ownership.”
